Mitel is winding down the ShoreTel (MiVoice Connect) platform, but that doesn’t mean your phones need to go dark. Their final software release arrived in 2025, and after that there will be no new software—only critical-issue patches when warranted. New license sales end December 31, 2025, so adding users, sites, SIP trunks, or features that require licensing will get harder fast. Scheduled releases also end December 31, 2025, which means compatibility updates and enhancements stop at year-end. Mitel hardware repair (RMA) ends December 31, 2029, and official technical support ends December 31, 2029—the formal end-of-life.
